Mono Laser Course (for HP models) - Version one - 1 day course
HP LaserJet 4000 and HP LaserJet 4100

The LaserJet 4000 range of printers have been in the industry for a number of years now, at Express Group we have accumulated a vast knowledge of common failure information for these models. The 4100 and 4000 are included in the same course because of the visual similarities between the two, although they also have many differences. The course will focus on the parts similarities, differences and features between the 4100 and its predecessor the 4000.
Mono Laser Course (for HP models) - Version two - 1 day course
HP LaserJet 4200 and HP LaserJet 4300

The LaserJet 4200 and LaserJet 4300 are very similar in design, such that these two printers can be included in the same course. The engine design of the LaserJet 4200 and LaserJet 4300 is totally new, improving upon the LaserJet 4100 in all areas. A primary focus will be the new technology differences between these two printers, as well as the hands on approach to live fault diagnosis, dismantling, corrective action and reassembly.

This course covers two of the most popular Lexmark monochrome lasers in the market, the Optra T520 and Optra T640. The course will include Lexmark terminology as well as the similarities and sometimes vast differences of this line of printers. It includes the laser theory with guided dismantling and reassembly and live fault simulation and corrective action.

Colour Laser Course (for HP models) - Version one - 2 Day Course

This two day course covers the Colour LaserJet 4550 and Colour Laserjet 4600. At 16 pages per minute in colour and black and white, the Colour LaserJet 4600 has become a very popular colour printer in the business world. The colour technology is very different in comparison to its predecessor the Colour LaserJet 4550. The course will discuss the new advances in colour technology, as well as the hands-on approach to live fault diagnosis, dismantling, corrective action and reassembly. Also included are colour theory and the colour laser process. Candidates attending this course will need to have had some experience of basic printer repair, due to the complexity of colour printing, to enable them to take full advantage of what we teach in the colour laser training courses. This one day course covers the basic operation, dismantling and re-assembly of the Optra C910. Also included in the package will be colour laser theory and common fault specification sheets. The HP LaserJet 9000mfp printer is a high performance multi-functional printer that delivers outstanding laser printing quality and speed, walk-up copying, document finishing and digital sending all in a single device. Designed to meet the needs of large workgroups, it is a highly robust and technologically advanced document management solution. The course focuses on the scanner portion of the MFP and includes theory of the operation and paper path. Also covered is the use of the MFP for copy, scan and faxing applications, along with menus, common break/fix information and trouble-shooting. Candidates will be able to trouble-shoot, service, and repair multiple model types of lower and mid-range HP laser model MFPs upon completion of this course.
Plotter Course (for HP DesignJets) - 1 day course

This course provides students the knowledge needed to begin servicing and supporting HP DesignJets. This is a hands-on course utilizing current models of DesignJets. Students will learn how these large format printers function in theory and in action. We include a hand on approach to live fault diagnosis, dismantling, corrective action and reassembly. Proper parts replacements are covered along with basics such as aligning paper and performing diagnostics. Candidates will be able to trouble-shoot, service, and repair multiple model types of DesignJet printers upon completion of this course.
