Express Group Training Course Overview
Express Group's training courses aim to provide the candidates with a skill and knowledge base that will assist the engineer in field and workshop based repairs enabling them to enhance overall customer satisfaction and increase first time analysis and fix rates.
All courses include:
- Guided dismantling and reassembly
- Live fault simulation and corrective action
- The image development process
- Theory of mechanical systems and the paper path process
- Troubleshooting
- Health and Safety
- Post course premium technical support from the course tutor
- User manual for printers covered on the training course
- Express Group Training Certification
- Lunch and refreshments
Every step of the course is designed to develop the engineers' skills base in the repair arena.
Guided Dismantling and re-assembling
This is the main body of the course and allows the engineer real hands on experience of working with the printer. The engineer is guided through repair issues and how best to dismantle and repair faults.
Live Fault Simulation and Corrective Action
The trainer will simulate an error on the printer and the engineers will be asked to diagnose and repair the fault in real fault simulation 'as if they are attending a call'. The trainer will watch and advise on the fault finding. This process is led by the candidate but is directed by the trainer.
The Image Development Process
This incorporates the process from when the machine receives a job to print to how the toner is put onto the page and sealed.
Theory of mechanical systems and the paper path process
This element investigates how the machine works and observes the functionality of the machine and its capabilities. This differs from the above as it is mechanically based rather than concentrating on the transferal of the toner.
Troubleshooting
This element covers the most common faults, paper jams and error messages. The trainer will also cover the errors that the engineer is most likely to encounter out in the field and how to diagnose and repair them.
Health and Safety issues
The trainer will cover lifting, scanner safety, toner handling, power supply handling to match the manufacturers specifications.
