Name Change For Express Terminals Alongside £1M Investment
Wednesday 11 October 2006
A £1m investment programme to enhance the service capabilities at Express Terminals has been announced alongside a name-change for the company. Express Terminals will become Express Group from 31 October 2006.
The new name reflects the fact that the business has experienced phenomenal growth over the last eighteen years and has decided to consolidate its strategic business units under the Express Group umbrella brand.
The company will operate under two main inter-related and complimentary divisions, Express Business Printing and Express Business ICT Solutions. These units will continue to provide consultancy, sales, service and support to trade, business and retail customers.
The major investment programme being undertaken is designed to equip the business with the infrastructure and expertise to maintain and augment its position as a customer-focused leader in the business solutions market.
The company will have a holistic view of its supply and service chain via a new, streamlined and fully integrated ERP/CRM system. This will improve the company's communications, flexibility and efficiency (on and off-line) - "ultimately adding value, reducing costs and increasing up time for trade, business and retail customers."
The extensive programme of updates is due for completion January 2007.
Joanna Young, Managing Director of the Express Group, is spearheading these changes having already masterminded a step change in the quality and scope of the products and services provided by Express since her appointment in March 2006.
Joanna explains, "The Express Terminals brand, although eminent and highly regarded by channel partners, is not well-known in the wider market. Moreover, it does not encompass the diverse and extensive business printing and ICT solution packages that we can provide. The level of investment we have made is a clear reflection of our commitment and the potential we see in the future marketplace for the Express Group."
Joanna concluded, "As the global market develops and our business grows with this, we intend to provide the best quality solutions within the channel and the industry at large".
